MUSIC'S VOCABULARY

VOCABULARY

Duration:duration is a quality of sound that marks the beats of a note.
Staff:It´s a rectangle with four spaces and five lines were you can put the notes.
Scale:It´s a group of notes ascending or descending.
Clef:It´s a symbolthat is placed at the beginning of the staff.


What is the difference between listen and hear?
The diference between listen and ear is that when you are listening something you are paying atention to what is happening, and hear is when is reproducing a sound but you don´t are paying atention
.

CUALITIES OF SOUND
Tempo:Is the cuality of sound that marks the speed of a musical piece.
Intensity:Is the cuality of sound that marks the volume changes.
Timbre:Is the cuality of sound that we use to distinguish between voices and instruments.
Pitch:Can be higer or lower.
Duration:Is the cuality of sound that we use to describe when a sound is long or short.


What's the difference between noise and sound? 
Noise is unwanted or unplesant sound, and Sound may be classified as noise based on its magnitude, characteristics, duration and time of occurrence.
